　　在游戏《生化危机》发售前，几乎没人预料到一个崭新“恐怖时代”的来临。在当时FAMITSU新作期待榜前五十名内甚至都没有它的身影。然而1996年3月22日《生化危机》发售时，史上最强黑马诞生了！最终全球574万份的销量恐怕已经超越了CAPCOM和制作人三上真司最狂野的想象力。


　　《生化危机》巧妙地将2D背景与3D人物相结合，既避免了技术原因带来的画面粗糙的问题，同时也给玩家带来类似于纯3D游戏的操作感。


　　《生化危机》高清重制版将在2015年1月登陆Xbox One，PS4平台，而PC版于2015年初发售。另外，本作的剧情对比初代没有改动，画面却有了大幅度提升，PC与次世代主机支持1080p分辨率，Xbox360与PS3为720p，全平台均为30帧画质，同时可以采用4：3和16：9游玩。
