《街头霸王5》是卡普空（Capcom）等公司使用虚幻4引擎开发制作研发的3D格斗游戏。该作于2016年2月16日正式发售，登陆PlayStation 4平台和PC平台 [1]  。
该作是一款采用全3D画面的游戏，玩家扮演一名格斗家和电脑对手练习，和网络玩家决斗。该作取消了前作储蓄超必杀技的UC槽，采用了V槽加EX槽技能系统 [2]  。
游戏的剧情上承前作《街霸4》，下接《街霸3》：游戏中的主人公隆为了追求“真正的格斗家”之路正在世界旅行中，他在旅途中会遇到许许多多强劲的对手，隆想要和这些人切磋，以追求武学的最高境界 [3-4]  。
2021年11月5日，《街头霸王5》入选为第19届“亚洲运动会”电竞比赛项目。
